I cannot say thank you enough for all you’ve done and for making my pregnancies such a wonderful experience. Every time I walked through your doors, I felt so welcomed and cared about. Thank you for all your support and helping me experience the births I’ve always wanted. I’m so glad to have met all of you and have you a part of my life through one of life’s greatest journeys!
Love, Charlene DuBeau, mom of 4
Beautiful, empowering, incredible...the only words that come close to our experience. I am forever grateful to have had a beautiful birth experience and to have gained so much knowledge and trust through the process.
Julia Cangilose, new mama
Augustine, I love you and am grateful for you. Thank you for opening your eyes, ears and heart to the complexities of life so young. Thank you for being my midwife into motherhood, the catalyst to begin asking the big questions about embodying my truth when others are doubting my choices because of their fear. The guide on the edge of my web to trust my footing when I encounter my own fears. I became all the sacred aspects of my birth while Lyla was born. I met ecstasy on the border of the known and unknown-as the force of life moved through me. I am grateful and humbled to have been in your divine guidance. You held me tightly enough to stay here and loosely enough to walk my own path unencumbered, and you honored my voice as it was born into this world anew. I changed, became the animal of my soul, and allowed every mother-the mother-to inhabit my being. I am ever grateful. I bow to your heart.

"She will never stand for a caged life even if it hurts like hell."
I read this today and thought of you, Augustine - I so appreciate all that you have done for our family and community. You inspire me every day.

To my sweet, amazing midwife:
I have been reflecting on all the ways you have supported & nurtured me, and want to say “Thank you,” these are just a few of the gifts you have given to me… kindness, love, presence, sisterhood, professionalism, expertise, open-mindedness, healing support, laughter & a festive atmosphere at the birthing center, advice, positive example, time away from your family!, sushi, patience, and you saved my little baby’s life.
Love & Light, Marla Dentino, new mom
I want to thank you, Augustine Colebrook!
There are no words that could ever express how thankful myself and my husband are for all your care and love that you have shown us throughout the care of our two pregnancies, birth and postpartum. There is not one thing I would change about my birth experience; it was perfect and beautiful in every way! I can’t wait to have more babies!
Kristin Hayes, Mom of two
You give people HOPE. I can't tell you how passionate I am now about women's rights to birth how they want and it all started with you. Now that I have been able to use your team and meet you and all the wonderful people that work there with you I just want to be around you! You are my Ina May after all!
Jessica Lamereu, VBAC mom
Happy international day of the midwife. Above all things, my greatest joy in choosing midwifery care was the unwavering presence that Augustine Colebrook and her assistants brought to my birth. They were with me, completely engaged in the process to safely birth my baby. I birthed my baby with strength and presence and they held me and kept us safe so that I could. I love you ladies!
Dr Julie Newman, Mama to two and Chiropractor
I always felt safe with you and I knew you were on top of things, and knew an emergency before it happened. And I saw it with the 120+ births I did with you - that safety of mama and baby was your top priority, so much that I truly believe women were safer under your watchful eye than they are laboring alone in a hospital with just monitors!
Melissa Cate, mama to 4 and birth photographer
Wow Augustine thank you! I know for a fact had I been in a hospital setting I would have ended up with a c- sec! The support of you and your amazing team and all the knowledge and wisdom you all carry is what gave me the strength to push through (for 6 hours) and have the natural birth I so desperately wanted, even with my persistent posterior baby! It was so reassuring to have the faith in you as my midwife and the support of all the other midwives and doulas! Out of this world care!! I can't wait to have number two with you!
Kristina Payne, new mama
I need to thank you Augustine, our amazing midwife, for so many reasons. First, you opened the doors to the world of birth, teaching me what it looked like to birth naturally, peacefully, and in a safe, loving, empowering environment. You walked the journey into motherhood with me as a mentor offering words of advice and comfort along with my medical care. You adjusted care to fit our needs as a family. You showed up in the birth room just as we needed you by giving the space for Wes and I to walk through labor together while stepping in at the appropriate times. Your career as a midwife has been a gift not only to me but to so many women in this world. Know that your mark in this world is vast, deep, and meaningful. I have always said it is impossible not to fall in love with a woman as she labors to bring a child into the world. Now that I have been there, I love you much more deeply and love myself all the more too. Thank you, thank you, thank you again for your influence in this beautiful experience. I am forever connected and indebted to you.
